Any purchase or use of my art requires agreeing to these terms of service in their entirety.Please read every word carefully and completely.



Terms of Requesting a Commission


In addition to the small gallery above, I have examples of my art available on Newgrounds, X (formerly known as Twitter), and Cara. The links to all of these are available in the "Contact" section of my website, ygfdoodles.com.I primarily have experience with backgrounds, environments, and landscapes. I can always try to do something else, but please refer to my prior works to get an idea of what that may look like.The creation and delivery of all my works will be digital and made in Krita. I am not able and/or willing to work in other programs or mediums, nor am I able to deliver anything physical.I can work with pornographic (also known as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW) requests, but I do charge an additional fee for doing so as I am generally unable to use them in my portfolio or on my
social media. Additional fees are noted on the request form (located under the "Commission" section of ygfdoodles.com), and are subject to change.I do not, and will not ever illustrate anything resembling a minor (under 18 years of age) in any situation that is remotely sexualized, inflammatory, violent, or in any way I personally deem offensive.Further, I do not, and will not ever illustrate anything I deem too politically charged or generally offensive.Do not ask for either of these above things.I reserve the right to deny any commission request for any reason.I am not obligated to provide anything outside of what is described in the initial request form, provided I agree with it.



Cancelling a Commission


If you want to cancel a commission, you may. However, if I have already sent you my first sketches/thumbnails, I will not be issuing a refund for the first payment.I will not cancel a commission on my end unless you in some way go against the terms I have written here or otherwise have given a reason to cease communicating with you (e.g. harassment). If I have not yet sent my first sketch/thumbnail, then you will receive a full refund.Refunds will not be issued after the second payment; the second invoice is not sent until my work is done.



Artwork Usage

All commissions are personal/non-commercial unless explicitly stated otherwise during the request process. I am willing to make commercial works, but we have to discuss more specialized terms and payment in those cases. This is further detailed in the request form.The art I create is still mine, even if I make it for you. You may not take credit for it or claim to be the artist of it under any circumstances, use it for commercial purposes (unless I explicitly agree to it), erase my signature, sell it to someone else, license it out, alter it without making it clear what the alteration was, etc.I reserve the right to share or distribute the art myself through any medium and on any platform (with the exception of commercial works). I reserve the right to claim full credit for my art. If you wish for a commissioned artwork to remain private, please ask.The term that I love most is “tarnation”.You may not use my art with Artificial Intelligence (Image generation, or AI) in any capacity. This includes, but is not limited to: Training, altering (image to image AI), and testing.Further, I do request that if you do choose to share my non-commercial art on social media, please use a Nightshaded or equivalently AI "poisoned" version. I will send you a Nightshaded version. This is not required of you, but this is a formal and written request.



Payment and Delivery


You must be 18 years or older to commission anything from me. NSFW or otherwise.I only accept payments through Paypal, through which I will
send 2 invoices priced in USD:

Invoice #1
The first is an invoice for the planning/work phase, and it will be half the expected price of the finished product. I do not start working until I receive this payment.Invoice #2
The second is an invoice for the finished product. Barring any extreme alterations to your initial commission request (As noted in the request form), this will be the remaining half of the agreed price.

I will keep you updated with every major point of progression on your commission. Generally (but not always) these are the initial thumbnails/sketches, the first linework draft, the rough values, values and details, then the final work. I generally deliver these via social media (X, formerly known as Twitter, Discord) or email. If you require additional accommodation for digital delivery, please ask if I can make such an accommodation.I try to offer up to four major alterations during the thumbnail/sketch phase, and only minor touchups for the remaining phases. The more creative freedom I have the better the finished product will be and faster I can get it done. I am not obligated to offer any alterations at all. If alterations are deemed too major after the initial sketches, I will request additional payment in order to make them (Noted on the request form).I will not deliver the master file/.kra file for any work. The final delivery of your commission will be a minimally compressed .png or .jpeg without any major watermarking. This will be delivered through one of the aforementioned media.The estimated timeframe for any given piece will be determined before I send my first invoice. In general, I will ask for 60 days minimum to finish your piece. I will aim to finish your commission much sooner, but this is not guaranteed. If I am taking too long on a given piece, you may request a cancellation of the commission, but please, just talk to me.If you need an expedited timeframe, please ask. This may not be available due to personal circumstances and may incur an additional fee.
Requesting A Commission


A commission request form is available under the "Commission" section of my website, ygfdoodles.comAs stated above, simply submitting the form does not guarantee that I will accept your commission request, nor is it a guarantee of a specific price. I will make it clear what services will cost when contacting you if I do accept your request. I will make an effort to reply to as many requests as possible and as quickly as possible, even if I deny the request.Once the Form has been submitted and agreed to, I will send you an Invoice. Once the invoice is paid, I will start working on your commission as soon as it is first in queue.

Commission Prices

Environments

Illustration of an environment, setting, landscape, or background without much action going on.Basic backgrounds are good for when you need a quick idea or concept art for a setting for cheap, and cost $15Deluxe backgrounds are for when you need something more detailed and complex, and cost $45

Character Art

Illustration of a specific character. If you already have a character designed that you would like to be illustrated in a pose, the cost is $50. If you would like me to design one from scratch, the cost is $100.

Illustrated Scene

An illustration of one or more characters interacting with, and integrated in, a setting as they do something.The cost for these is $55 if you already have a character in mind, $105 if I have to design it, and an additional $40/90 per predesigned/original character.

Emote/Simple Icon

A small colored drawing of a simple character, face, or symbol. The kind of thing you would see as an emote on Discord, for example. These are $5 each.

Other Art

Do you want something that isn't listed here? Something similar to a piece you saw in my portfolio, or something completely new? Please ask! We can work out a price depending on the project.

Additional Fees

Extra Alterations
I try to offer a few major alterations to a piece early in the process of making your commission, but if suddenly halfway through, you decide you want your character holding an extra weapon or wearing a different outfit or a new mountain or building or something, I will charge extra depending on how long that will take.I charge $20 for every extra hour worked, by the hour. i.e. if it takes 2 hours that is $40, 1 hour is $20, 15 minutes $20.

Expedited Deadline
I am a busy guy, in addition to art I also have to actually survive as a human being. I do not always have time to work on art 24/7, but will work hard to make sure you get your art in around 60 days or less. I need a week minimum, regardless of what you ask for, and for every day under 60 that your deadline asks for, I'm charging for 2 hours of work, or $40.

Complexity
If a work is exceedingly complex or will require a huge amount of time and effort that isn't standard for what is in my portfolio, I will similarly charge extra money for the time I need to put into it. Again, $20 per hour by my estimate. If you're commissioning something like a Bob Ross-esque scene, this won't affect you, if you want a photorealistic rendering of New York City or something, then we'll have to chat.

Commercial Works
The price of a commercial work depends on what commercial use and rights you would like from it. There's no regular price for this, we need to discuss a deal.

NSFW
Pornographic (Not Safe For Work) content has a flat 50% increase to the overall cost of the project. This includes the above additional fees. I can't show that to my family or most prospective businesses or anything, it does not get added to my overall portfolio. Particularly explicit works which I absolutely could not show anyone may incur a higher fee, which we can discuss.
